[SOLVED] Updated Store or Production Store?

I recently upgraded to 1.4.4

 

 

I believe that the store is accessing the updated store and not the production store.

 

 

I have a folder on my server called Prestashop for my updated store.

 

 

I use Filezilla which does not allow me to drag and drop the Prestashop folder

to folder of my production store.

 

 

so I downloaded the whole folder to my computer and then uploaded it onto my production folder.

 

 

But the Prestashop folder is still on my server.

 

 

I changed the file

modules/blockpaymentlogo/blockpaymentlogo.tpl

but there was not effect in the store

 

 

until I changed

prestashop/modules/blockpaymentlogo/blockpaymentlogo.tpl

 

Which indicated to me that my store was still accessing

data in my updated store and not my production store.

 

 

When I did that suddenly my store was going to

http://www.homeschool-shelf.com/prestashop'>http://www.homeschool-shelf.com/prestashop

instead of to

http://www.homeschool-shelf.com/

 

 

the only way to stop it was to go to my backoffice in the Prestashop folder

and change the PS directory.....

 

 

So I am confused am I using my production store,

or is everything working off of the Prestashop folder

 

 

If I change the name of the Prestashop folder,

the website cannot be found.

so something is still activating the updated store in the prestashop folder...

I had to get a better FTP program that would allow me to move all the content from the prestashop folder to the production store.

Am sorry for getting you back in this closed topi.Could some one please tell which one is "the production store" and which one is the "update store"?

 

My previous 1.2.5 shop was under the name "prestashop" in the directory /public_html/prestashop and I created the newly installed 1.4.7 shop "site" and uploaded back through ftp to /public_html/site. Now which one is which somebody help me here!
