Scott Z
Yesterday I was getting the following error when trying to install UPS Carrier v1.2 on our PrestaShop 1.4.2.5 site: The following module(s) were not installed successfully: upscarrier After looking at the changelog for 1.4.4.0, I thought upgrading would fix the problem. I upgraded the site and yet the error message remains. I also searched for other people having this problem and one recommended solution was to manually install the module, but I can't find any information on how to do that. The files exist in the modules directory. Do I need to manually run the SQL from the sql-install.php file? Anything else? Any help is greatly appreciated. Once this store is online we have 3 more waiting to be wrapped up and all will require UPS as the shipper.

Bat Guy
Not for UPS but I would be interesting knowing what makes a module "installed". I see all the modules listed in the folder but where is the module added to the actual interface? For the UPS module I see an sql-install.php which modified the database. In your case, is the database being created or is something failing during creation? -- I realize we are "newbies" here but the lack of help on this forum has me wondering if I made the right choice. I also have a non-response post with some simple questions I've been unable to answer by searching. For those posters that respond "search the forum before asking stupid questions" I would gladly take the abuse if you'd post a single link where the question was already answered. Since searching for the answer is so obviously simple it should take you but a few seconds to both insult and prove your point with an easly found answer. /RB
tomerg3
Try to get the module from the latest version of Prestashop (download the latest version, extract it loacally and copy over the /modules/upscarrier folder. Try to install it and let us know if that works.
Scott Z
Did not fix the issue. Thank you very much for trying to help. Frustrating issue.
tomerg3
You should post this on the bug tracker, that would get one of the team members to look at the issue. You can also try this UPS module, which has more options and comes with free installation support. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/74017-module-ups-get-real-time-shipping-rates-from-ups-with-shipping-preview-on-the-product-page/
