link to database cannot be established

Hi,

 

I've been using prestashop without problems; however today I changed the carriage cost value and now I get diverted to a page displaying the error

 

Link to database cannot be established.

 

I cannot login to my admin section (same divert) and don't know how to get my shop back!

 

Please can you help - I've looked on the forums and don't understand previous posts

It's an update to 1.4.3 - I've contacted my host and they think it might be due to

It 's the host (my dictionnary English/French is not very good)

 

Have you doing the update in an another repertory, the file settings.inc.php have : define('__PS_BASE_URI__', '/shop/');

 

do you have any problems when you did the update ?

The update was fine; mymumsfactory.co.uk has a 301 redirect to mymumsfactory.net/shop/

We've had to redirect the mymumsfactory.co.uk to a holding page while the problem is sorted; www.mymumsfactory.net/shop still points to the shop
