Adding some text to authentication page

Hi again,

 

I have been asked to put a bit of text at the bottom of the authentication page basically saying if you are having any problems phone blah blah blah.

 

I opened the authentication.tpl file and added it in there and uploaded but nothing changed. So to make sure i was using the right file i deleted a whole section of that page to see if it changed but it didn't.

 

Now i have no idea which file i am supposed to use - it's confusing me big time.
