moving log in and search bar

I'm currently building a new site for my store. I've managed to figure out how to increase the header logo width. But its left me with a problem concerning the log in and search bar. They were on the top right but now they are under the header logo (which goes the full width of the screen). How can I get the log in back on the right underneath the header logo, and the search bar under the header logo but on the left. I would also like to get rid of the flag image and the /contact/sitemap/bookmark links and images as they are in the footer and/or I don't want them visible at the top.
