Problems changing web address

I'm having a hard time transitioning my site to a new URL. I tried editing config/settings.inc.php, but it's not working as I expected.

 

The old url is something like http://oldurl.com/'>http://oldurl.com/prestashop'>http://oldurl.com/'>http://oldurl.com/prestashop and the new url is just http://newurl.com/

 

I changed the __PS_BASE_URI__ to '/' but now the site just redirects from http://newurl.com/ to http://oldurl.com/'>http://oldurl.com/ when I navigate to it. When I try going back to http://oldurl.com/'>http://oldurl.com/prestashop'>http://oldurl.com/'>http://oldurl.com/prestashop, it also redirects to http://oldurl.com/'>http://oldurl.com/ now. Oddly enough, when I go to http://newurl.com/admin, it works fine.

 

I should mention that http://newurl.com/ is an addon domain that exists in a subdirectory of http://oldurl.com

Change PS_SHOP_DOMAIN, PS_SHOP_DOMAIN_SSL values in ps_configuration to your new domain instead of old
