phonestreet
I have just bought a theme costing me 102 pounds only to find out it does not work with 1.4.4. The theme is 1.4.0 and I thought that it will work with all v1.4 versions of prestashop. When I did the search for theme I used v1.4 as a filter so automatically thought it would work. Now when I upload the theme folder to themes, prestashop does not pick it up. Can I do anything Please help
tomerg3
It should work, although it will not take advantage of some of the code optimization that was introduced in later versions. Are you sure you copied the correct folder into the /themes directory? Did you try to contact the company you bought the theme from?
phonestreet
Yes I have contacted the company but they have failed to give me a response. I copied the folder "theme" from the download of the template to prestashop/themes and then logged into back end to appearance. The template does not show there for me to select it
Carl Favre
Did you try with the theme installer? Same problem?
phonestreet
Theme installer gave same problem, but I have got it working. What did it was re-reading tomerg3's post about Are you sure you copied the correct folder into the /themes directory? What I did was upload the folder "theme" to /themes. What I didn't notice was that within the "theme" folder was another folder called "theme175" which when uploaded to /themes worked!! Thanks for your help guys.
