Adaron Mildoak
Hy all! I'm new on this forum and using prestashop recently to develop an e-commerce site. Great software but now I'm interesting in a custom feature that I can't find. I've set the product thumbnail size to 150x150px and the top category image size to 800x200px. Unfortunately prestashop doesn't crop the thumbnails so if I upload an image in 800x200 format, the resulting thumbnail for the category page is a white filled image with a really thin stripe centered containing my image. I already have developed an indipendent image resize class that do exactly that, so I can set a custom ratio and my class resize and crop the original image at the desired ratio and gravity but I prefer to not touch the source of prestashop for future automatic update. Is there a way to do what I want without hardcode my needs? Thanks and sorry for my awful english.
Adaron Mildoak
Ok it was not so difficult. I've implemented my own resize class that crop correctly the images. If anyone is interested I'll post a howto and my class obviously.

Escens
I am also interested in this feature. I see it has been a while since you posted this, but it would be really nice if you told us how you did it :-) Thanks!
