[SOLVED] Latitude and longtitude not accepted in stores module

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm currently building a shop in v1.4.4.0 having trialed a previous version.

In this trial the Stores module worked fine. Now, however, it won't accept any UK latitude and longtitude coordinates(see image). It seems to be fine with USA coordinates?

Anyone any ideas?

[EDIT]

Having tried a few more coords, it seems that the problem is with Longtitude beginning 0. or -0. ???

No. sorry, still not working for me with latitudes beginning '0.' or '-0.'

I guess I need to do more than uninstall and reinstall though? Should the module be deleted and downloaded again? If so from where - I've looked through the module downloads and can't see it anywhere?

Thanks for you help so far.

This might be a silly question, but why doesn't the Stores module lookup the latitude and longitude based on the address entered?

The code to do this is less than a dozen lines, and would make this module so much easier to use?

If I wanted to add this functionality myself, how do I add the code to the AdminStores file without editing the original AdminStores.php file - can I do it by creating an admin/tabs/AdminStores.php file in my themes folder and editing that?

Hi PurpleEdge,

Since PrestaShop is open-source software, we are always open to contributions from the community. If you think that this would be helpful, we invite you to put together the code and submit it to us for potential inclusion in a future version!

See attached, for a rough first draft, that suits my purposes.

I'm happy to work on it and submit, and accept any advice!

jusy wondering Mike if you know a good web site for checking my code and letting all the search engines know of my web pages. I was given one on here 2 years ago and it did loads of different things and test all on one web page. I cannot remember f the life in me what is was or called. A block on here gave it me. is there anyway i can check through all the messages ive done over the years?

thanks again Mike Prestashop is the best!! :-)
