(SOLVED) Prestashop and "inspect elements" help

Recommended Posts

Hi

Please can I ask for some help and advice about a issue on my website.

I am trying to find in my BO and file manager a small mistake but cannot locate it at all.

However when I right click on the problem in my website when using Google chrome and the "inspect elements" block comes up and I can see the error.

What I need to know is:

1. can I edit words in Elements

OR

2.should it tell me where I need to look in my files etc to locate this issue.

I have spent nearly 2 weeks now trying to adjust a spelling mistake and am now pulling my hair out. which is not good as I do not have much left.

Here's hoping I can get some help

I am trying to find in my BO and file manager a small mistake but cannot locate it at all.

What is the exact error/its location in BO?

1. can I edit words in Elements
You can change most wording using Back Office > Tools > Translations > Modify translation > relevant translation
2.should it tell me where I need to look in my files etc to locate this issue.

If you answer my first question, I will be able to tell you this.

Thank you for the reply.

I am afraid this is the problem. I cannot find it in BO or my file manager. I have searched BO>Translations>Modules. You can see the module but the phrase with the error in does not appear in the Translations.

So I have been searching, what is obvious to me, my file manager files. I found the phrase in the module popinnewsletter.tpl and corrected the error and one other line of writing, but this will not change it on my website. So there must be another place somewhere else.

When you click on Inspect elements you can see the word I need to correct. I was hoping that this would allow me to alter it or even tell me where the word was located in my files.

Hope that makes it a bit clearer.
