Can't Save tax rules for Canada (bug?)

This was reported as a bug but it was closed.

I can not save tax rules. Works fine for a state in the USA

 

Steps to recreate problem

 

Click Tax Tab

Create a Tax HST12 12% Enable Save

Click Tax Rules

Select Canada

Select British Columbia

Select State Only

Select HST12

Save

 

Reload you will see it did not save the info

But doing the same procedure for a US state everything is fine.

 

Tested on 1.4.3 and 1.4.4 same problem

I'm willing to bet no one has the tax rules working for Canada.

Hi tank,

Before you created the Tax Rule, did you add the Tax HST12 12% under the "Taxes" tab? In order to apply a state tax, you may need to create it manually in that tab, but it should only take you a minute. Once you do that, you should no longer have any issues applying Canadian (or any country, for that matter) tax rules.

Click Tax Rules

Select Canada

Select British Columbia

Select State Only

Select HST12

Save

 

Now look at it again. It did not save it.

 

This problem is specific to Canada, the same procedure for 'US' and state seems to work.

 

I can recreate problem on local machine Prestashop V1.4.3 and on server Prestashop V1.4.4

I have Canada as a tab and also Canada under US

 

All this time I've been trying to modify rules under the Canada tab but.....

It seems to work if I modify Canada under US but not under Canada

Why does Canada appear in two different places?

I'm running 1.4.4 I've also tested 1.4.3

Well as I've mentioned earlier, none of us have been able to replicate your error. I am noticing in your new screenshot that you're applying both taxes instead of applying the state tax only. You may want to try switching that to see if it helps.

Sorry to wake up this post but I have exactly the same problem especially with Canada and some other countries as well.
