Backup problem

Hi,

when i try do a back up of my store via the backoffice i get shown this message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded

 

I know i can alter this via php.ini but it doesnt seem to change. could this be something my hosting company control?

 

my php.ini file looks like this:

expose_php = Off;

max_execution_time = 990;

max_input_time = 600;

max_input_nesting_level = 64;

memory_limit = 128M;

 

 

 

Is there any other way i can backup my store? maybe through phpmyadmin. if so how...and will it do the same as the backoffice backup feature?
