Importinhg Excel File With Products

How it is possible to import an Excel pricelist with many products into Prestashop CORRECT?

 

Specifically:

I have checked http://www.prestashop.com/wiki/Importing_Product_Data/

 

And there is written:

"You can import the following values (PrestaShop 1.1):", (see below) which is OK, JUST what is obligatory, that this file has in order to show the products correct?

 

Those are possibilities:

•ID

•Active

•Name

•Categories (x,y,z…)

•Prices

•Tax rate

•On sale

•Reductions

•Reference #

•Supplier reference #

•Supplier

•Manufacturer

•EAN13

•Weight

•Quantity

•Short description

If I understand your question correctly, you only need to include the product name and ID for the import to work. So if you wanted to update prices only you would need a field for product name, id and price.

 

Just make sure you format your csv file correctly - I use OpenOffice for this.

Go to post # 20 on that page. It helped me very much when trying to figure out the csv's.

 

If you download the example spreadsheet at the bottom of post #20, it's a workbook, so be sure to note the tabs at the bottom, for categories, products etc....
