Lindsayanng Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 One of the reasons I was interested in Prestashop was because it seemed to have a built in "pack" feature.. Apparently this is not a workable feature if you have attributes on your products (which 95% of stores do). I have looked through the modules and none of them seem to accomplish what I need.. and really all I need is for the built in feature to work in a way one would expect. I don't need a ton of fancy things that the Advanced Pack 4 module has. *Ability to add a product to a PACK and choose it's attribute/combination (same functionality that exists just with attributes) *I need those products /attributes to have their inventory deducted accordingly (I am amazed that inventory is not even considered in the built in function) * No inventory for the "pack" product because it relies on the inventory of the products that make up the pack. *Add multiples of the same product to the pack (so 4 widgets and 2 Woozies make up one pack) *All of the ability of creating a normal product (description, price, weight, discounts, images, etc) I just tested the Advanced Pack 4 Module and it is not really for creating packs of products and more for creating group discounts. This module puts the attributes for the products that makes up the pack on the front end for the customer to choose. This is not normal "packaging" functionality. The back end is also very buggy and not very clear on how to use from a design/layout aspect. Again.. the simple thing I need is support for attributes and inventory. That's really it.
