Mr.Curiosity
Is there any differences between sitemap.xml and sitemap.php ? This has been a issue for me for a month, and I think this has been a negative impact for my SEO. Below is my problem. 1. In my website, www.planetunik.com when you go to the sitemap in the most top header, you get internal server error. the link is http://www.planetunik.com/sitemap.php , which is a sitemap.php 2. In webmaster tools, when I submit sitemap.php it is not accepted, but when I submit sitemap.xml, it gets acccepted although not all pages get indexed. additional info in back office, preferences > search, It says : Indexed products: 43 / 43. I am even more confused now. someone please help me

Hi Have you regenerated your site map recently via: Modules/SEO/Google Sitemap/Configure/Up Date File (button) ? This will update your site map with all the current sites URL's. Andy1
Is this why I'm getting an error in Google Webmaster Tools saying I have a crawl error in my sitemap? Is says: Crawl Error in Sitemap - URL - www.mysite.co.uk/sitemap.php However, when I look at the sitemap I submitted I suggests it's a sitemap.xml file and there is a tick next to it. There are 459 urls submitted, but only 100 indexed. Do I need to remove the php sitemap and is it causing problems? Many Thanks Andy
