category in cms block ?

hi to all community members,

i am in a situation where i need to show the lists of category into the cms information block.

i try to edit the code in category.php so that i can insert it into blockcms.php in the function hookLeftColumn.

but i get errors.

 

if anyone have the idea please help me out.

I don't which version PS you are using. I guess it is 1.4x

But I think you should change the blockcms.php/tpl instead of category.php

yes you right i need to edit blockcms.php/tpl instead of category.php. What i tried is to know how the categories are constructed in block category and then copying the same code and pasting in block cms.php but not getting what i wanted.

 

yes i m using prestashop 1.4 version

I'm trying to do the same but I can't find a the solution... I edit blockcms.php/tpl instead of category.php like you but isn't the right way... you can see here... http://www.enasport.com/productos/proteinas/14-c.html
