Offering downloadable digital Products

Dear communinty, I need your help badly.

 

I like to offer a digital product to download. To place the product in my shop I chose the option "Is this a downloadable product?"

 

But I cannot upload any files using the "Browse" funtion. I uploaded the product via FTP in the /download directory. Now I got a error message: This product is missing. See attached screenshot.

 

The file is about 0,5 MB.

What do you mean by I cannot upload any files using the "Browse" function? Do you get an error message? Check you folder permissions.

 

A workaround is: you can rename EAKAIN.zip to 3cba23902f6c0b43928e9134beae4063750ca7ea (from the error message and without the extension .zip) and FTP to /download/ folder, but obviously would be better to solve the problem if you have many downloadable products.

You can try this module, it lets you upload files via FTP and assign them to product in bulk.

Regardless, I would try to figure out the file upload problem, as you may need to upload files for different reasons.

Thank you for yoour replies. The problem is solved. I bought the batch for downloadable products.

Hi, I have the same problem. No error messages, just when I select file for upload, a field with file name remains empty, and field near "Upload" button says "No file selected". What can I do? If I need to check folder permissions, where to check?
