Recommended Posts

I do not get this. I use API for both USPS and UPS and I have all countries set up. I really need help fixing this. Someone please help me get this set up for I can ship worldwide. I am loosing a ton of customers and it is all becuse I can not figure this out. I have tried this forum a few times with no answer and it seems that although Prestashop has a contact form they do not and will not help since I have emailed them over 6 times now!

Hi, I had the same problem & you need to make sure to set up correct shipping zones for your carriers (and check groups as well). I did not use API or default UPS, FedEx modules & set up my own company shipping and it works!

Hope this helps,

Ella

Hello, I am having the same issues but even with shipments within my stores country. Could you go more in depth into how you fixed this problem? Also, I am using Prestashop 1.4.3

The thing you need to remember with the shipping set up with prestashop is that it's all about Zones. Zones is key to the whole set up.

So your main objective with setting up your shipping options is to get your zones right.

When carriers are configured they need to have zones assigned to them. That is, which zones would you like this carrier to deliver to.

So if you get the message “There is no carrier available that will deliver to this address” it is likely that none of your carriers has been assigned to the zone that the customers address is in.

Another reason you can get the “There is no carrier available that will deliver to this address” message is if your weight/price ranges are not set up correctly. If the product in the cart falls outside of the weight/price ranges then of course there is no Carrier that is configured to deliver it, resulting in that error message.

When you are trouble shooting “There is no carrier available that will deliver to this address” problems:

  •
  • Check your zones are correct.
  • Check your states (if used) are assigned to a zone.
  • Check your carrier is assigned to the correct zone, or all your zones in fact have a carrier.
  • Check your carrier "Out-of-range behaviour:" is doing what you want it to do.
  • Check your that your weight/price ranges all have a carrier assigned to them.

Most errors in shipping set-up are do do with either zones. Next in the list is Out of Range behaviour and finally incorrectly set up weight/price ranges.

Dave,

Thank you for your response. I have a few questions about the shipping set-up.

First, if I go to the UPS module configuration I get a blip in the module status showing "UPS Carrier is not configured yet, please:" and an error on #2 showing:

2) Webservice test connection : Error 111100 : The requested service is invalid from the selected origin.

The USPS module gives me a similar status of "3) Webservice test connection : USPS Webservice seems to be down, please wait a few minutes and try again." FedEx is the only one that shows that it is online.

My second question, where exactly do I set the zones? In BackOffice>Shipping>Zones I have all 8 zones enabled. In BackOffice>Shipping>Countries United States plus all other default countries are enabled. In BackOffice>Shipping>States all states are enabled. However, in BackOffice>Shipping>Zones only the county I am shipping from is listed.

In BackOffice>Shipping>Carriers if I edit UPS Ground, all zones are checked on. This is also true for FedEx Ground.

And to be clear, the test that I am trying is to an address in the US shipping from my address in the US.

Hi,

Sorry for late response, I haven't been on the forums for a few days.

Have you managed to sort your shipping out yet?

Regarding your first point I haven't used any of the shipping modules other than the stock prestashop one so can't offer any advice on those. The same goes with the webservice.

Regarding your second point,if you do a search on some of my other shipping related posts I have covered this several times in considerable depth.

I'm not quite sure I understand your issue. One one hand you say that in Zones you have all 8 zones enabled buy then you say in Zones only the country you are shipping from is listed. Could you please clarify.

Well we've found the problem. Apparently UPS and USPS will not accept metric measurements. When the weight and dimensions are changed to lbs and inches the UPS and USPS work. If switched back to kg and cm they quit working.

So, I guess the problem is fixed, but we're stuck with old world measurements.

Thanks for the help, BTW.
