toifel
OK so I "tried" upgrading to 1.4 yesterday and I'm kinda frustrated already.. that's not version 1.4.0 and still everything seems to be in beta-state. I installed a fresh prestashop (latest version) and had to manually fix lots of stuff to get the old theme and old data into verison 1.4. so far so good. the blockinfos module however doesn't seem to work at all... the errors are related to "listCms" function which is located in CMS.php. the SQL statement performed in this function relates to a table *_block_cms - however, this table does NOT EXIST after a fresh install. Looking into the *.sql files in the install folder, this table is indeed never created on installation... Executing the SQL statement in phpMyAdmin returns (who would have guessed) "#1146 - Table '****3.ps_block_cms' doesn't exist". I almost can't believe that this hasn't been noticed yet, at least I couldnt find any help in the forum so far.

It does exist in my installation so I guess there must have gone something wrong with your installation.
toifel
Installation was ok without any error... my mistake was probably to follow the upgrade-guide, even though I couldn't use the update script and had to do everything manually. In the guide, it says "copy all modules that were modified into your fresh updated prestashop/modules folder" (or something similar). I did just that, not even realising that blockinfos is no longer part of prestashop. So I re-re-checked all modules that came with 1.4 and switched all blockinfos to CMSinfoBlocks... now everything (well, almost) is working again. Some more tweaking on the theme and everything should be up-to-date and ready for further (hopefully easier) updating in the future.
