aivars Posted August 3, 2011 Share Posted August 3, 2011 I am receiving error messages from google checkout - We encountered an error trying to access your server at https://mywebsite.co.uk/modules/gcheckout/validation.php -- the error we got is Send failed with code: 401. Response body was: Failed to Get Basic Authentication Headers . When customer finishes checkout and returns to my webpage there is no orders made in customer account. Myself as seller I do not see new incoming order in back office. However, me and customer receive via email correct order details from google checkout and payment is processed. .....so, there is no communication between google checkout and my shop after order is completed. ---I have SSL set for my shop and its working fine. ---I entered API callback in google account - https://myshop.co.uk/modules/gcheckout/validation.php and set it on XML. ----I did enable or disable logs in my shops back office google checkout model(because I do not now how logs help!!!!). -----I changed permissions in google checkout module files to 755 as learned in another topic - I hope ITS OK with security of my shop. -----PayPal is working very good!! ---- I didn't bother with testing in sandbox mode so its set on real. but anyway payment in life mode(not sandbox mode) are processed in ugly and unconventional way for me and my customers. could you help me with tips or your experiences with this or similar problem!!!!1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Please post replay, as well, if you stopped use of google checkout module because of API callback problems. interesting - I was using my frends credit card(with her consent) to test google checkout in real mode. Google checkout after some time emailed me suggestion to use sandbox mode for test as it detected what both cards are registered in same address. Also noticed in customer email appears - You've chosen to pick up your item(s)- that is very confusing for customer, isnt it!!!
