Firefox: Friendly URL, Page not found error

Recommended Posts

I enabled the friendly url and disabled all but one language to remove the language extension in the site's url.

For some reason all pages are accessible *except* the homepage...?? And whats also weird is that I only have problems accessing the homepage on firefox (latest version). In Safari, for example, the homepage loads with no problem. But with firefox, I get and error: We're sorry, but the Web address you entered is no longer available.

I have been trying to figure out what could be causing this in firefox for days now, with no avail.

I have tried disabling cache and force compiling, in hopes that maybe they would fix the problem, but I keep the same results. The homepage works in Safari, but not in Firefox.

Prestashop is definitely better than before, but still frustrating to deal with sometimes. Somethings you would think would be simple to fix are causing the most problems. Not to mention the other major issues (not so much as before).

Does anyone know how to fix this? Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks a lot for any help with this problem.

I just had this same issue after moving prestashop to root.

I fixed it by:

In forefox go to Tools>Options the Privacy Tab. Click on Clear Your Recent History and check the cookies and Cache boxes then on OK.

Should to the trick.
