Multiple Options For The Same Products

Is it possible for a customer to choose a product and then be able to select (for example): 2 shirts, size large in red and 6 shirts, size medium in blue before adding to the cart?

 

I would have thought that this has already been discussed, but after sveral hours browsing this forum, I can't find the answer.
