Moneybookers Payment OK but Prestashop reports Payment Error

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Using Prestashop v1.4.1, as per title, a customer places an order and pays via Moneybookers.

Moneybookers reports payment success but Prestashop displays the order status as 'Payment Error'.

In addition, the customer receives an email generated by Prestashop stating the payment did not work.

From within the order page there is a message from Moneybookers which states 'Please double-check your Moneybookers account to make sure you have received the payment (Yours / MB)'.

The money was definately taken.

Has anybody else experienced this issue and found a fix?

We are using the standard Moneybookers module.

Cheers

Dear Grégoire,

I definitively have the same issue. I am on 1.4.4 and have uprgaded Moneybookers module to 1.6, the latest as of today from your addons shop.

I similarly receive the message:

1 error(s):

Please double-check your Moneybookers account to make sure you have received the payment (Yours / MB)

Money goes into moneybookers but BO reports error and the customer sees an error, as well.

What's going on?

Please let us know.

Thanks in advance,

Al

Nothing has fixed the problem. I now have problems with customers (thanks!). Any news of a fix? I have already PM'ed Fabien and waiting on a response.

I managed to fix mines... very silly error on mypart. So silly I am not telling anybody

Hi Fabien,

I have a similar problem... I'm on Moneebookers module 1.6 and it worked ok until a few days ago when suddenly when people payed, they received an error message. We received with no problem the money in our moneybookers but the Order didn't appear in our order s list.

When you finally can access to it, you see that it doesn't appear because it has the following message... (see attach). To be able to see the order again in our order list, we must change the status of the order to "Payment Accepted".

Can you please tell us what to do? Is there a new Mooneybookers version going to be launched?

Thanxxxx

Hi stephent2008,

This mean your problem is resolved ?

Can you share what was the problem ? Maybe others merchants has the same problem for the same reasons ?

Hi Fabien,

Yeas, it is fixed. The server at the company I get hosting from crashed, when restored the modules folder was reset to '777'. Needless to say, I checked everything but this.

I have to say, Moneybookers is a good service - I just wish more customers would use it over Paypal!

Hi Guys,

is this issue actually resolved because we have the same problem when clients buy in other currencies than the default one, which is euro.

they pay the amount in euro but for some reason Moneybookers return to the shop the confirmation that the client paid too much or too little, depending on the rate of the currency.

One example is:

Product price 10 euro > client chooses dollars, pays 10 euro in 13 dollars, Moneybookers returns paid > shops says client paid too much 13 euro, when in fact client paid 13 dollars/ergo 10 euro.

i think it a "miscommunication" between the currency symbols passed between moneybookers and prestashop.

We have a "workaround" for this in the sense that we edited the error message displayed to the customer from "there was a problem with your payment" into "we processed your order and your payment is pending verification".

Meanwhile we have to check manually the payment in Moneybookers and to change the status in the shop from "Payment error" to "Payment accepted".

Until the issue is not fixed - and by the way, this issue is deeper than just changing or updating the moneybookers module - we are forced to delete all other currencies in the front end and operate in one currency.

Has anyone from prestashop actually dealt with this issue?

It's very annoying and unprofessional to bother the client with e-mails and apologies.
