Discounts not showing in front office

I'm using PS 1.4.2.5

 

and the quantity discounts work fine in the back office but do not show in the front office. Whether I apply discount by amount or percentage, I get the same:

 

-£0.00 -£0.00 -£0.00 -£0.00 -£0.00

 

However, the discount DOES apply to the product, so it's working, just not showing in the front office.

 

I only just upgraded to this with a lot of things breaking that worked before so I don't have the time to upgrade again now to 1.4.3 so if there's some way to fix this without upgrading, much appreciated for any ideas? My vouchers don't work either (even after following instructions to correct the problem). I'm wondering if this problem is related? I think my permissions are ok, but I'm not 100% sure if this isn't the cause.

I fixed the problem. The theme wasn't compatible. The 1.4.x specific themes work much better with PS1.4.x
