HandCraft
We own an ecommerce website http://www.Handcraft.co.in but we r facing very crucial problem Though we hv taken utmost care about product image quality by shooting with professional camera, we r losing that quality effect after uploading images. From BO-Preference-Image we have chosen our own sizes as below, Category - 500 x 332 Home - 200 x 130 Large - 330 x 260 Thickbox - 1024 x 768 Our original photo sizes are like 4288 x 2848 [4 MB] and above. I need guidance about what would be ideal size [in pixels n kb] for category, Home, Large and Thickbox? Our few images are vertical n few r horizontal. So they r getting compressed n look very weird when prestashop cart compresses it. Thanks in advance!!!!

Rajesh KT
I feel he is asking about the images quality. the quality of the uploaded images varies based on the "JPEG quality" option at the back office. Here you can give quality to 100. BO > Preference > images >> images > JPEG Quality.
HandCraft
Rajesh.......our site is working perfectly with uploaded images but the path which u hv given i didnt understand. BO > Preference > images >> images > JPEG Quality
Mike Kranzler
Hi Handcraft, I took a look at your website, and the image quality looks very good already. I can even see the fine carving work on many of your products, so I don't think it will be affecting your sales negatively. However, in terms of Rajesh's suggestion, you can simply go to your Back Office and click on Preferences > Image. In that section, under Images you can change the quality of JPEGs (from 0-100) and PNGs (from 9-0). Remember that an increase in image quality can slow down your website, but if you mess around with the settings there, you should be able to find the best settings for your needs. -Mike
HandCraft
yes Mike.........we already worked hard over our images n we r satisfied with the results.... quality wise n even sales wise........ But wat Rajesh was suggesting n u also tried to explain that feature i still couldnt locate..... In BO-Preference-Image only thickbox, category etc dimensions r mentioned and Regenerate thumbnail option is there. Rest I really cant see anything.....Anyway Thanks a lot
