Peter Wilson
Hi FireDog Just to be sure I understand: are you talking about assigning a different shipping cost per item, also known as Per-item shipping? If so, this is not yet available in PrestaShop but will be developed for a future release. Or were you referring to something else?
FireDog
Hey Peter Wilson no, just multiply shipping price according to the quantity! eg: Normal: 1 g-force gt 8800 - $ 80,00 1 Mouse Microsoft - $ 26,00 Shipping - $14,00 Total - $ 120,00 What i want: 1 g-force gt 8800 - $ 80,00 1 Mouse Microsoft - $ 26,00 Shipping - $28,00 <----------Double or if we could, just increase a little more the shipping price. Total - $ 120,
Peter Wilson
Hi FireDog, Do you want to always double the shipping price? If so, then why don't you simply double the fees that you created for your carriers in Back Office >> Shipping >> "Fees by carrier, geographical zone, and ranges" section ? First, did you set up different Price or Weight Ranges for your Carrier in Back Office >> Shipping >> Price ranges or Back Office >> Shipping >> Weight ranges? Can post screenshots of these three tabs so that we can see how you've set up your shipping?

Tyler
Hi I am also interested in knowing how we can calculate the cost of shipping based on the weight, if a customer purchases a certain number of items and increases the weight, can Prestashop increase the costs of shipping? Peter Wilson
Hi guys, Hmm, OK, it's evident that a lesson on how shipping works in PrestaShop is in order. Fortunately, I have a draft on this in the PrestaShop documentation. http://www.prestashop.com/doc/doku.php/shipping Let me know if that doesn't clear it up for you. jinjin
Hi, is it possible to add the following features for Prestashop, I think everyone will be interested in it 1. Real-time shipping cost calculation based on customers location prior to check-out 2. Automatically retrieve shipping charges from UPS, USPS, DHL, FedEx, TNT, and etc (include arrival time etc) 3. Allow customers to select shipping methods based on calculated shipping cost 4. Free shipping with minimum order, by a set of order value, or purchase quantity 5. Add estimated total weight/cost calculation in cart..
Peter Wilson
1. Real-time shipping cost calculation based on customers location prior to check-out Fancy! Good idea. Adding it to the to-do list. 2. Automatically retrieve shipping charges from UPS, USPS, DHL, FedEx, TNT, and etc (include arrival time etc) This functionality has been requested before; it's slated for development post-v1.0. 3. Allow customers to select shipping methods based on calculated shipping cost Shipping costs are already displayed when making an order (section "Choose your delivery method") 4. Free shipping with minimum order, by a set of order value, or purchase quantity This is already possible; go to Back Office >> Shipping >> Handling section: Free shipping starting at: ____ Free shipping starting at: ____ kg 5. Add estimated total weight/cost calculation in cart.. This is already on our to-do list, something I feel that we should implement ASAP. Perhaps in time for v1.0 ... ? designgeist
I am also having serious shipping calculation problems. Built a site some time ago but the only item not working is the calculation of the shipping charges automatically based on weight. The basket and checkout do not show the correct shipping cost. Most products have a weight option 250g, 500g, 1kg and 3kg and the pricing and volume discounted pricing works just fine. I have tried everything however to get the shipping to calculate correctly by weight in the basket and checkout, I am still left with the option of the customer to click which they prefer in the checkout! but I need the most appropriate choice for them to be automatically selected by the weight otherwise they will always choose the cheapest option whatever the weight. Even fixed price and weight products do not escalate the shipping based on the increased weight of multiple purchases! I am using one country geographical region UK, I have 4 shipping options based on weight with escalating fixed prices. The weight ranges and prices are loaded in and do not overlap. Each product has a default weight of 250g. I am using Prestashop 1.5.6.2. Help would be greatly appreciated as we are stalled and cannot finish the job! ;(
