EDI Integration

Hi every one,

We have started using this package with WordPress. I am not the developer of the catalog, cart, or other parts of the site. However, I am tasked with integrating the database, specifically the catalog, from the manufacture. The process is to be automatic or occurring on a command from the retailer, preferably the former. The integration is a one way and there is no need to push local changes to the parent company. Here are the details as I understand them now.

1. The parent is using the "Inovis network".

2. I am fairly inexperienced with EDI, but I understand the principles well enough.

3. The document containing the part catalog follows an established EDI standard.

4. I am to provide the parent with a mapping document. I’ll need to get a 1,2,3 step walk through from them to understand what this means.

5. This system uses a mailbox to retrieve the EDI document.

6. I am contacting the parent company from which the retail store will down load the catalog updates.
