bloggus
Is there any place where features of multishop are described in detail? Can't find it anywhere ... For example, things I would like to know: - is there possibility to set title, price, descriptions, tags for a product ... individually for the different shops. - discount, coupons individually for each shop? Raphaël Malié
Here is a non-exhaustive list of what you will be able to do with multistore : - Create infinite ammount of shop - Create groups of shop with some cool option : share customers / share carts / share stock between shops of the group - Create X URL for a given shop, you can link your shop to one / several specific domain, or link it to a virtual URI (but you will need Apache rewrite mod for this last option) - Set preferences for all shops, for a specific group of shop, or for one shop - Associate most of entities to one or several shops (products, carriers, languages, currencies, suppliers, discount, etc.) - Have differents translations for each shop (for example, your product "Ipod Touch" can have a different description between 2 shops) - Have specific prices for each shop - Filter statistics for specific shops - Desactivate modules on some shops, and change hooks position for each shop - etc.
bloggus
Thank you. This sound very promising, just what other solutions don't have. Looking forward to this! Regards, bloggus

But how about SEO? was SEO considered into the muiltishop?
Raphaël Malié
Of course You can change meta and rewrite url for products for each shop. And there is something new (thanks to the new dispatcher) : you can edit URL routes for each shop

bicatu
Hi, I know time is something we don't have but a wiki/page with this list would be great. As of today (and your current plans) will it be possible to: a) Have a separate user(s) to manage each store without having access to view or change the other stores' properties and data? Share just the customer information but not the products, themes, stocks, prices, delivery and payment options? Regards. Raphaël Malié
Hello bicatu, it's not possible for the moment to set auths on stores, but I think this is an interesting idea and we will discuss on it in the team. You will be able to share customers informations between shops of a same groups independantly of products or stock, when you create a group of shop there is three boolean options : share customers, share carts and share stock
bicatu
Thanks for the reply. I hope this is doable without any major changes for a 1.5.x version. The idea is to be able to have store manages that can do anything they want with their store while preventing him/her to change or even access the other stores' data/settings.
