[SOLVED] REWARD! Authorize.net - can't complete checkout - just reloads the page?

Recommended Posts

I am using a clean install of 1.4.3 without any changes (except one line changed to allow for image mapping - there was a bad variable in the original file). I have enabled the Authorize.net module, put in my login ID and key. Under the payment tab, for countries restrictions I can't select anything, all countries have -- after them. (Several others in the forum mention this problem as well.)

Authorize.net module is also set to production (tried it in test also), with Visa/Mastercard options selected.

When trying to place an order, the page just reloads. Nothing happens. Using a valid credit card. Have tried it with my Authorize.net settings set to test, and Prestashop set to test, with no luck. There was something in the bug tracker regarding the issue with not being able to select zones, but it seems like it just got passed over. (http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCFI-1903)

Is it the zone issue?

OR... Are there any particular settings at Authorize.net that I need to set? I have some URL settings there, do they need something filled in? Also, do I have to select AIM vs. SIM somewhere at authorize.net? My old cart (currently running still) used the SIM method, but I can't seem to find a place to select which is used, so I'm assuming that I can use either one, and Auth.net just figures out that I'm using SIM vs. AIM?

You can see for yourself by adding a product here: (link removed after problem solved) (If you go to the home page, it's still using my old shopping cart.)

Anyways, any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have 2 different websites with 2 different Authroize.net accounts on 2 different servers both with SSL. I can't get Prestashop's authorize.net account to work on either one.

I'm using single page checkout (but it also wouldn't work with 5 page checkout).

When I hit submit, the page thinks, then reloads. No messages displayed, no transaction takes place.

Frustrating....

I ended up talking to Tomer over at Presto-Changeo.com and bought his Authorize.net module. Used the auto install, put in the settings, Tomer had me change a couple of Authorize.net settings and Presto! Best damn $75 bucks I've spent yet. Took less than 30 minutes and payment module was live and working. I've spent at least 5 hours trying to get the default authorize.net module to work with no success and no responses.

Thank you again Tomer!

Same problem for me also...

The thing that really gets me pissed is why don't we get a response from prestashop?

Do we have to pay for every module to get Prestashop to work?

If thats the case it's much cheaper to pay for a paid cart then it is to pay for a free cart???

Kinda good thing they got going here...

It's interesting there's not support for a basic issue such as getting payments processed. I can't imagine supporting everyone and their problems for free, but that's not what this is. The purpose of PrestaShop while surely has some good motives are quite motivated by cash also.

What was the reward BTW? I'm interested in knowing... Free twinkies? :)

A month and one update later, and it seems the issue still persists. I am trying to get a shop together and I'm having the exact same problem. As Damian says, it's great to know that such basic functionality is not important to the developers. This is the first and definitely the last time I ever use PrestaShop for anything. What a disappointment.

Also, this thread shouldn't have been marked "solved", as it wasn't, really. No more than "I installed Magento and everything is working great!" is a proper solution to getting PrestaShop's tax bugs straightened out.

In the authorize.net settings, under form settings or something similar, then required fields unselect most of them. Leave name, expiration date and ccv.

The problem with the free module is that it doesn't return any errors. Also, the whole credit card number doesn't fit in the field without hiding numbers.

Timers module is nice because it submits name and address etc to authorize.net. presta module doesn't seem to be submitting all of that info.

Reward was free stuff from my website. Prefer not to link my account with my sites...

wow. I am dealing with that same issue, however mine just returns to the shipping selection page. I also had issues with the Fedex module and had no luck with support so I had to upgrade to Tomer's version and excellent assistance. I am hoping that I will not have to do that again with the Authorize.net module. I will keep looking for answers but I think it is inevitable.
