Hey Forum!

I invite the forum to post there speed information. It is pointless to have a lot of threads dedicated to "my site is slow" or "whats the best hosting?". Every few post I will update the ranking at the top of this post or open a dedicated thread for the results.

 

Summary:

A Performance survey to get high quality and important data about hosting and performance settings.

 

Settings:

To get quality information the prestashop store need to have the fastest working settings that most shops run on. Since media servers are not widely used yet it can be left out. Caching is by preference because some shared hosting packages might limit the use of file system caching.

 

Smarty:

Force Compile = off;

Cache = on;

 

CCC:(select the settings below)

Use CCC for CSS.

Use CCC for JavaScript.

Minify HTML after "smarty compile" execution.

Compress inline JavaScript in HTML after "smarty compile" execution

Keep W3C validation

[Hosting company] Go Daddy / 1 and 1 / BlueHost / MonsterHost/ etc...

[Host package] e.g: lite/basic/premium/pro/professional etc..

[Host package Type] e.g: Shared Hosting / Business Hosting / VPS / Dedicated / Other(post name)

[Page Load speed: INDEX/HOME page] in milliseconds

[Page Load speed: Product Page] in milliseconds

[Filesystem Caching] ON / OFF

 

Simple All you have to do is post in this topic and afterwards we can do some number crunching.
