WiiU
Is it possible to add an image or even text (for example a welcome to the shop) above the featured products?
tomerg3
Yes, in one of two ways.1) create a new simple module that hooks to the homepage.2) add what you want to the homefeatured module, at that top of /modules/homefeatured/homefeatured.tpl
WiiU
Tom, I'm a newbie :-)Can you post examples how I can do this please...THANK YOU!
tomerg3
1) there are some tutorials online, search for them.2) not sure what kind of example you want, just edit the file, and add the code you want at the top.Make sure to turn on force recompile (preferences->performance) after every tpl file you change to refresh the cache. WiiU
1) I have searched and been unable to see specific examples of what I am looking for :-(2) I would like someone to post the example code of simply adding "Welcome to our where you can purchase numerous health and beauty products online from one of the UKs most popular retailers. Find xxx, xxxx, xxx products online now...." above the the featured products bar. Where and how would I add this, what code (example) anyone would I use? Also, similar to the above, if I wanted to add and image called special offer.jpg size 400x130 that was centred below the featured products bar before the featured products are displayed, where and how would I add this?Matt

mohsart
My guess is that you'd want to use Home text editor (a module included in the installation package).Go to Modules, search for Home text editor, Install, Configure... Done/Mats
WiiU
Home Text Editor doesn't work with my theme... Is there any other way to add a "Welcome to our where you can purchase numerous health and beauty products online from one of the UKs most popular retailers. Find xxx, xxxx, xxx products online now...." above the the featured products bar. Where and how would I add this, what code (example) anyone would I use? phrasespot
If you are using version > 1.3.x Have a look at this module (disclosure: done by me). Read the thread first; there are other similar modules. You can use it to add a block in home page. Alternatively, it is a very simple module and should serve as an example to help you to do something that will do what you want.
