[Solved] product links not shown in categories after upgrade to 1.4x

hi i recently moved to a new server and at same time decided to move to new 1.4x from 1.2 or 1.3 i think it was.

anyways first problem i noticed was that when i click on a category on the menu , say Accessories, that page loads with the category header saying X number of products and doesnt show the CATE picture but shows the description.

so i looked at /inspected the image placeholder to find the path shown did not exist as the folder structure was different from previous version.

and below this category page info is where the products for the CATE should be listed yet none are.

so i first updated the images for the CATE and SUBCATE and some of the products which i could do via the backoffice and CATALOG .

yet still no products/links being shown under said CATE.

im continuing to upload/relink the images for those CATE and Products but i need to know is there an easy way to get the products for a CATE to start showing again.


NOTE: the featured products on home page prior to the move and upgrade are fine and still show there.

solution : BackOffice -> Prefs -> Scrool down to Use Smarty 2 not 3,,, SET to NO

click save
