Paypal IPN working sometimes

my paypal seems to be working fine, i got 14 orders all paid, processed etc, but i got an email from paypal saying

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://chinatradefactory.com:8888/prestashop/modules/paypal/validation.php

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

I am not sure why you received this kind of email from Paypal. I never see that before.
Maybe because there is some change on Paypal side that does not allow to use port number other than default 80?

Old post, but this seems to be causing us problems on 1.5.6.1. This url is supposed to be automatically generated, but was not working every time.

 

Check the ipn url in your PayPal account.
