Putting a image over prestashop

I have just installed prestashop but i want to not have it live as i am getting a theme made.

Instead of click no on the enable shop option, i want to place a image on the website, i have ftp'd it into my public_html folder but how do i make it live and make prestashop not able to be viewed when people visit it?

create a index.html with only show your images.

usually index.html will override the index.php in most case.
if it does not override, then try to rename index.php to something else.
