jeffmic
I'm using a OSX 10.7 Lion Server for my testing computer and all Front Office operations run a slow. Granted it's only on an iMac 17" 2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo with 4 G of RAM. My actual ZenCart server is a MacPro OSX 10.5.8 Leopard Server that I cannot upgrade at this time because it will break 3 of my 5 ZenCart stores. (older versions of ZenCart that have been customized too much to afford to upgrade). PrestaShop won't install on it because I can't for the life of me get GC to enable. It's not available as default in Leopard Server, but it is in Snow Leopard and Lion Server. So I'm stuck with a slower computer to test PrestaShop at this time. BUT, the Back Office works fairly fast with any open and save from within it. It's just the Front Office that's 'dog slow' at times.Do you think it's just the way PrestaShop operates? Will it be better on a faster computer in the future?Plenty of internet speed here 35X5 business class internet.Only one product is in the site currently.http://test.musicalcreations.com
Ackros
its not a hardware issue. is a config issue with either the backoffice preferences or a software config susch as your php.ini needs optimizing. enable debug/dev mode in backoffice -> prefs. Carl Favre
Hi jeffmic, In Preferences > Performance, have you set "Force Compile" to "no" ? Try if you do not have.
AITOC
Hi everyone, please take a look at http://addons.prestashop.com/en/administration-tools/4633-Performance-Booster.html This module fully caches the pages and, without initializing PrestaShop, provides your visitors with ready output that takes significantly less time to load.
