Muller
I am quite confused and would really appreciate some help guys I am going to be subscribed to authorize.net's service and use them as a payment gateway. I want to choose my hosting service now (Looking at asmallorange.com and knownhost.com VPF/cloud services):1) From my understanding the official Prestashop 1.4 authorize.net module redirects the user to authorize.net where he enters his CC information. Is this correct? Does this mean my store doesn't have to be PCI compliant, and also it doesn't need an SSL certificate, correct? I'm assuming this uses authorize.net SIM integration method and not DPM since the payment form is hosted at authorize.net?2) With the official Prestashop authorize.net module, will I see completed transactions on the Prestashop admin module? If not, where? How can I know who are my paying costumers?3) Is there a different authorize.net module for 1.4 other than the official one? Princely
Hi Muller! Did you try this? Check this module and if you are satisfied , go for it.. i am using this module and it is working fine. You can check the demo also using the below linkhttp://www.egrovesys.com/prestashop-authorizenet.html..Cheers,Princely
Muller
With this module you user enters credit card information on our site correct? This means we need PCI compliance, SSL, etc...What I like about the official Prestashop authorize.net module is that if I understood correctly because the user is redirected to authorize.net to do the actual payment, security is not an issue for me really. I don't need SSL, PCI compliance.
tomerg3
Prestashop has 2 versions1) SIM - paid and uses redirect.2) AIM - free that comes with PS 1.4While the CIM saves you the need for an SSL and PCI checks, it will also reduce your conversion rate, customers tend to abadon cart more when they are being redirected to a 3rd party site for payment.Whether it will be more effective to use AIM and lose less sales, or go with CIM and risk losing sales is your call, but most big sites use only hosted solutions. You can also check my Authorize.net module, which offers refunds (at any amount) and Authorize first and capture later.http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/40871/
Muller
The only question I have left is:If I go with official Authorize.net module which uses SIM, how will I see completed transactions? Will I see them in my Prestashop admin panel?
tomerg3
Any order regardless of the payment method will show up in the orders tab (unless there's a problem somewhere).
