Left hand column - individual product display with 'add to cart' & 'view' buttons and attributes drop-down

hi folks,

Looking for a pointer to quickly solve a design request from a client.

They would like to select one product from their catalogue (which will have a specific product id and hence can be hard-coded) and have it displayed permanently in the left column, with the add to cart & view buttons and attributes list.

I'm at liberty to dismember the CMS block template - which I've started to do - to use it for slotting in the appropriate bit of code.

Does anyone have any ideas how to achieve this without a huge amount of complication - I don't have the requisite coding skills despite being able to read and interpret basic PHP, I'm not yet skilled enough to code it myself.

Alternatively, anyone want to custom build a module for me?
