How can I widen the thumbnail scroller?

When I expand the width:

#thumbs_list {
   overflow: hidden;
   float: left;
   width: 240px
}

It just gets pushed to the left, but the big space on the left remains:

I figured it out, the following needs to be changed too:

#views_block {
   margin: 0 auto;
   width: 474px
}
