JQuerey Nivo Slider with Prestashop 1.4.3 using Velvet Sky theme

Recommended Posts

First let us say, that this theme has an excellent look. Unfortunately we also do have an issue positioning the Jquery Nivo SLider on the homepage.

We do get an error, when we want to place the JQuery Nivo slider on the home page. We can not hook it to "homepage content" nor can we hook it to "sliderhome" whcih we think is wrong anyway.

But what do we do wrong? We have installed it in Modules, configured it, even was able to upload the image, which we had controlled with WInscp, all correct. But nothing visible and positioning not possible.
Can you give us plse the missing hint?

Hi,

I have the same problem, after upgrade to 1.4.4.1 from 1.4.3... Uninstalling and reinstallnig did not solve the issue, the homepage is still empty. In the source code the slideshow DIV is empty, doesn't contain the script... In 1.4.3 version (before my upgrade) everything works like it should.

Any ideas? Thanks!!!

If anyone is still wondering, the slideric is bad, you have to uploading it separately. ( I downloading the prestashop velvet sky from smashing) And the slideric from :http://dev7studios.com/portfolio/nivo-slider/ Or somewhere else if you prefer. Then I replaced that information in the config file with the one from velvet and the uploading it again on my ftp. So far soo good. Plus looking back at the pdf file that came with the original installation for this theme it never said that nivo goes in the homepage content Combo slide, Block Advertising, and newsletter. (page 6/7) There is a problem in that file I'm not sure if it is the 1/0 1/1 or the -before <module>. Whatever the case now I can upload my own images without any problems and they show up on the website.
