after update to 1.4.3 new images folder cant change permisions

I updated my shop from 1.3.1 to 1.4.3. Today I added new product, images showing on the page, product details a so on.. but in homefeatured module on the front page is no image. I controled folder img and in new image folder img/p/1/6/2/6/ - are all this product images. Problem is, that i can´t change permision folders from 705. Product images ...home...large...small... and so on are CHMOD 664 and watermark file 606. This folder and files can´t delete! i Think - this is my problem.

Does anyone have an idea how to? Thanks for answers.

I have the same problem of permission for the folders under img/p, with a new installation of prestashop 1.4.3
When I create a new product width a new image, the image is chmod 0664 (this is OK), but their folders are chmod 0744
The chmod 0744 does not allow the image to be seen.
I don't know how to manage this through the admin panel (Preference/ image) or through php code in file (mkdir function).
So if someone knows, thanks a lot

The problem is caused by the apache server.
Go to the direct admin panel and go to the file browser there.
Go to the image browser and check the owner of the files and folders
Some are owned by the apache server..
You can reset the owner there as well or ask your hosting.

I had the same problem and they fixed it for me by resetting the owner on the back end
