Formatting emails

I'm assuming that to format the style of emails sent to customers I need to edit the .html and .txt files in the mails folder.

If this is correct then

1. What happens when I upgrade
2. I can't believe there's no option to define a few css rules, like font color, globally

Hi Mark,
You can add style to .html files
when I upgrade, you can take the .html files( take backup & copy to new ver. shop mail dir )
You can't add CSS Rules globally but you can use styles

Thanks for the tip.

For many customers the main edit rqeuired will be to change pink to their own colour scheme. I think it would be a useful enhancement to Prestashop to store as preferences the 5 or 6 main color references and use them as variables in the email. Be a lot quicker and safer upgrading.

I have with a module for to customize your e-mails from your shop. You can edit your each mail templates (both html and text) using a html editor through your back office. You will get the module here.
