Strange alignment issue causing horizontal scroll bar to show in Firefox

I have spent a long time trying to solve this in my theme, but I just cannot see where the problem is. When the home page is viewed in Firefox 4.0.1, it is showing horizontal scroll bars, but I cannot see anything in the CSS which would cause this. Apart from the background in the main body css, the actual page is 980px.

I have attached an image which is a screen capture of the home page, as you can see, there is a large additional area to the right hand side which is outside of the body css.

If I then click to view a product, the screen shows correctly and no scroll horizontal scroll bar, until you navigate back to either the Home or a CMS page.

If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear from you as I have spent the afternoon trying to solve this.

I am having a similar issue with a new footer I just added. I am using PrestaShop™ 1.4.5.1
