hippooflove
Right, be constructive, honest but gentle.!!!!!I have had my site now around 3 months and now using v1.4.1. I manufacture my own metal products, (I do have some 3rd party wooden products on until my range grows). I am getting a fair amount of visits but not one sale. I sell the same products on Ebay etc and sales ore okay, so although I can always improve them, I do not think it is the goods at fault. So my site must be wrong. I do not have SSL as my host says that as I only use Paypal offsite there is no need!Other than that I would really appreciate some help and guidance.I have read books until they come out of my ears but nothing seems to help. I know it is still early days but I thought I would see some interest by now. What I do know is that I am getting referals from my store to my Ebay store though.I have tried on my own but now need to give in and ask for help please.BarryHomestead and Garden
PrestaDesigner.com
Hello Barry,Did you track to see how many visitors click on "Our Ebay Shop". I don't think the SSL is the cause. I think most of your visitors clicks on "Our Ebay Shop" and make the purchase over there. You can remove that link from the top to test this.It will be a good idea to make the thumbnails of the products a little bit larger as well as the "view" buttons. Also the "Buy Me Now" is not a good idea on the product page, try the old fashioned "Add to cart". When peoples click "Buy me now" they are expected to be redirected to the payment gateway.Good luck!
hippooflove
Thank you for your reply.I have only had the ebay link for 2 weeks so whilst it has made a difference to my Ebay store it does not affect my shop.I will try changing sizes as you suggest.I did have Add to cart for a while but read its better to "push the sale" so I changed. However its obviously not working so I will change back and see. Anything is worth a try.Sometimes you sit and stare and miss the obvious so its good to let a third party make comments.Once again many thanksBarry
hippooflove
Thank you for your replyI have looked at stats. Never sure if they can be believed. this month Total visits: 524 - Total visitors: 455since we opened this year Total visits: 5561 Total visitors: 5148these seem high for no purchases.Good idea about offering vouchers to Ebay customers. not sure how to do it with out getting banned though. Will think about it. Thank you again. your comments and time are much appreciated.Barry
wolfstores.com
Hi,I really like your site and think with some minor adjustments it could look amazing. My suggestion would be to change the logo. It looks quite pixelated and makes the site look a bit unprofessional. Also maybe try and brighten up the theme, the grey is not very engaging.Best regards,Tim
