[Solved] Server Error in Modules Tab

Recommended Posts

Hi, please can someone help me. I have very little knowledge of using databases which is probably why I am not sure where to start with solving this problem.

I tried to install a new theme (moon) today and after uploading the relevant files to the themes folder, I copied the modules associated with theme to the modules folder. Following this, when I looked in the modules tab in the back office, none of the module where visible but the interface still remained.

I then deleted the entire modules folder and re-uploaded the original files from the prestashop download in attempt to restore the system to its original state. When I uploaded the modules folder, there were a number of error messages in the FTP log. Since doing that, when I try and access the modules tab from the back office, I get the error message:

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.bitealarms4u.co.uk/biteme/index.php?tab=AdminModules&token=b0f36d62ebf75593e5afea44023fd9d5. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.

After reading through other forum posts, I suspect that it may be something to do with file permissions, however I have no idea about how to resolve this.

Please can someone help - I have spent hours on this now and have nowhere to turn.

I have attached the FTP log that Dreamweaver gave me following uploading the modules folder.

Yours hopefully,
