QuadDamage
Please somebody. I am having the exact same problem. When I installed prestashop, I was able to send the test email without any problems. But when someone places an order, registers, or tries to retrieve password, it does not work. My hosting is with Godaddy.comI am using PHP mail function and each time an email needs to go out, it returns to the Gmail.com address I have set for the shop to work with with this message: Mail Delivery Subsystem to meshow details Feb 5 (5 days ago)Reply ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- (reason: 553 sorry, your mail was administratively denied. WODP
I think i know solution.Problem is i think with SUBJECT of email. Subject is now like this: [PS_SHOP_NAME]Order status and most of programs find it like SPAM and can be rejected by server or moved to spam folder. This is problem i think. We know solution, but don't know where to edit this.THIS is my topic: Click hereRegards!WODP
Jalux
Can anyone confirm that the above works! There seems to be something wrong as it does not seem to be an isolated occurrence.UPDATEThe post did not work for me, what is strange is that I can receive e-mails through the contact form, but when generated automatically (order confirmation, changing of password) nothing appears tried using googlemail (also via smtp), live (hotmail) etc. I will ask my host uk2.net to see if they have changed anything as this used to work fine, but now nothing. Is it possible for someone to write a module that would correct the above issues?Would be willing to pay providing its a reasonable amount. In addition I think this only affects certain websites so I would be interested in knowing from people who have no problems what hosting service they use and how long they have been using it for. kdk
hotmail does not accept emails from phpmailer. use smtp or dont use hotmail. the best solution is using smtp and NOT hotmail - you have a better life without using hotmail.

brandonc503
okay im on fresh install.. im at the smtp config test... used smtpout.secureserver.net port:80 [email protected] and password. and when sending it just keeps thinking.... trying just username for stmp:username also just keeps thinking...tried relay-hosting.secureserver.net no username or pass port:25 and confirmed email sent and i got email at yahoo address... proceeding with instalation..... installed footer links...going to contact page to try again.... got error 1. an error occurred while sending message.. chaning pref>email from port 25 to 80...still error.. changing pref>email to smtpout.secureserver.net port:80 [email protected] and password.. filled out contact page and insted of getting error or confirmation it goes to my home page..wth?! and no email anywhere sent.. why would it not go to the contact-form.php? and are the issues you are having now that you said the same as mine ? or something else?
