diffy
HiWOW I'm amazed over all the great functions of Prestashop. I spent a week fiddling with Drupal's Ubercommece, butthis just had everything I did then out of the box!!! Really happy I found this project. Now I'm trying to make a product that, when bought and paid for, will be sent to the final page, which then displays a page. I need to put some applets into there. I want to sell my own videos in an embedded player which I allready have.Any ideas on how I can do this? at first I tried to search the forums, then fiddle with all the settings. I did find oneperson who had a modified get-file.php, but I really don't see what difference his file did. So I guess I'm asking you now! Thanks in advance for any replies, feel free to inform me of any documentation I have missedhands in the air for prestashop
diffy
okay I'll try and ask for what I want in a simpler way...I just want to sell an article. Quite simply. The standard product is perfect I just want to be able to sell an article I put into the WYSIWYG editor of Prestashopis it possible?
DaveGetStock
Why dont you just turn it into a pdf and have it as a downloadable product?
diffy
Because what I am selling, is not a document. But I want to sell a movie stream. The stream will be a flashfile hosted from another server, which I link to. So I need for the product to instead of offering a download, just to show a page! And the feature of having access to the product for 24hours is perfect. Just what I need. So say I want to sell a Youtube video, obviously not, but just for the example;I create a new product, and write about it using the product editor. Then I want to make a third information, say a third field of text to be available after the product has been bought. So that when the person buys the "youtube video" she/he can click it and have access to the Flash-player that I have insterted into the third text field of the product. The reason I called it a text, was that it would be the same. I just want a way to be able to sell CONTENT ie. VIRTUAL CONTENT.I feel that somehow its possible to do with prestashop... At least I hope so, because Prestashop is really good
Damien Metzger
Everything is possible, it's just a matter of time. And I think that what you want to do is far too much time consuming ^^ (at least I can't think of an easy way to do it)

DaveGetStock
The only way I can think of is usuing the downloadable products, they download a file with a link to the video, you just delete the link after 24 hours. Other than that I am guessing you would have to re-direct the payment confirmation page for just this item, which I have no idea how you would do! diffy
I have been turning my head around and around. Then I had a meeting at work today, and this was proposed by one of the designers:"Other than that I am guessing you would have to re-direct the payment confirmation page for just this item, which I have no idea how you would do!"Like you said DaveGetStock. The only thing, I didn't notice that sentence or rather process it in my head That's a brilliant idea actually. So now I'm about to dive into the code and see if I can get the return page straight into the product download. This is exciting! Wow I'm flabbergasted by how smooth things work in PrestAshop. When I get my first salary from this project, I will pay/subscribe/donate to have it developed quicker
capono
If you need it on short term, and if it's the base of your site, you might be better of with drupal for this one.
