Problem with checkout, not signing up costomer accounts - help please

Hi, I have discovered a problem with my checkout. I did have "guest checkout" (so customers could buy without having to sign up for an account) enabled but customers were having problems using it.

They would enter all there details and then click save and it would just go back to the beginning and they would have to enter all there details again and this would go on until it actualy worked.

Now I noticed it was making an account for them when they tryed but didnt seem to register this on the website. I know this because in the customers tab in my back end, there would be a customers name 3 or 4 times in a row, one for everytime they enetered the details.

Anyway I deactivated the guest checkout setting thinking this would solve the problem and customers would just have to sign up for an account.

Now in explorer seems to work fine, you click checkout fill in the details under new customers section including a password and then click save and choose your payment method and then complete checkout. Order finsihed.

Now my new problem is in firefox when you go through checkout it says "instant checkout" where it should say "new customer" and there no where to enter a password to open an account. Basicaly it seems to be using the form from the instant checkout setting which is disabled.

Any idea whats fonr wrong. Cant be sure but think this started when I upgraded to v1.4 a while back.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.
