Media Servers

I need to know how to correctly configure media servers. I created subdomains, set up prestashop, and my page goes blank and I get a 404 error. Do I need to copy the contents of the entire site to my subdomain folders? Or just the css, js, and images? Also, how does CCC manage subdomains, are my cached js and css files going to be created on all subdomains as well? Thanks.

It's strange, no documentation, no working examples, no tutorials, very very strange. I get that it randomly assigns which sub domain to use for scripts and images. But unless the code is generating CCC files in the subdomains, or creating uploaded images in these subdomains I have no idea how it is supposed to work. I guess you can redirect subdomain requests but the .htaccess generator isn't doing it for me, and is that still getting the intended benefits of subdomains?
