Rocky B
Our site is called rockytopcarvers. My [spam-filter] and I make a variety of hand carved itemsincluding spoons, forks, spatula's, pizza peels, stirring paddles, & pipes. My son-in-law who is a web designer set it up and I did the fill in.I'm not very savvy so it took me a while to figure some things out but I think I have everything covered now. We had our first sale last week and had an inquiry today. I am having some problems logging on to the administrator side as it will not recognise my password sometimes and makes me ask for a new one to be e-mailed to me. Right now I san't access the site because of this and I get no e-mail response. Anyway check us out and tell us what you think. Thanks, rockytopcarvers.com
mysolarstore
I agree with the comments above; you can't just install Prestashop and expect to make any sales. You need to spend a lot of time and effort on making the theme relevent to your products. You can buy a theme for less than £100 so it may be worth doing that if you're not a coder or designer..I'd also work on your product photos; spend some money and get a photographer with a proper light box and get some good quality images of your entire product range on white/solid colour backgrounds. A good photo or 2 and the whole site will be lifted to a new level..Effective markting is key to getting customers to your site aswell; would be interesting to know how your visitors find you at the moment?Anyway, keep working and good luck with the site.Carl
Rocky B
We don't expect to get rich from our sales on this site but use it as another way for people to aquire our products. We do 10 times more sales word-of-mouth and events. We have some cards made to direct them to the site also. If business increases enough to justify upgrades we will certainlytake it to another level. Right now I need a bandsaw. I've posted in a few forums which allow advertising and have had a few inquiriesfrom those and it also increases visibility via keywords used.I'm not a programmer or designer, I'm a wood carver, (among other things) Thanks for the great advise and critique. josephandersson
Your images are extremely low quality and they does not blend in well with the rest of the design. You should look in to that! Else it has quite nice content!
pralbin
One tip: Get better images - they have to low quality now.
