Bz786
I have just started my website and i'm getting really slow speeds, force compile is off and cache is on but I am presented with an error saying install memcache PECL, how do I go about doing this? I tried reading the installation guide but it just left me confused..

Mister Denial
Hi there, you actually need to have the memcached extension installed on your server for it to work. If you are on shared hosting, it is likely that it is not installed per default. I'd recommend contacting your hosting company and check if they can install it for you. However, from my experience with PS, the most speed gain is achieved by tweaking your choice of modules, some of them are "hogs", like the new products module, so play around with your installed modules and see where you can gain most. For inexpensive and reliable hosting, I usually recommend Bluehost, I have been with them for years and am very satisfied.Hope this helps!
